Can you just use the tb from the y7? I would just do that and plug the holes on the iacv on the mani for now. I think you could get one off a z6 mani and use that...or just get a z6 mani, the difference in airflow is neglegable and you could sell the y8 mani for what you pick up a z6 one for.

its all hooked up and minty. I think it gives it a little low end but im not sure it was worth the effort lol. I couldn't figure out why the idle was a little off i checked the ohms on the old tps and it was 6.27 so i set it the same on the new throttle body but i adjusted it again to 7.5 and it seams to run perfect. For anyone who does this dont forget you need the part of the tb that the throttle cable attaches from the y8 manifold otherwise the cable operates backwards lol.

i just bought a y8 head but i am gonna do it up before i put it on. My car started idling like shit again so i busted out the carb cleaner and started looking for leaks and discovered the tps gasket was ripped. i took the tb back off and removed the tps cleaned the old gasket off, made a new gasket and reset the tps to 7.5 and it is back to being perfect.

what else do i need to change besides the head? i thought i needed a new dizzy, but now people on other forums are saying no, that you can use your stock one. I thought the vtec dizzy was different so please throw you $.02 in. Also the t-belt is also a great debate with no real set answer so any help with that would be mint as well.

You Can Use The Same Dizzy. And You Need The Y8 T-Belt.

You should pick up new head studs if you haven't already. Get some pics of this head! Teardown, rebuild, and install! CTVTEC needs more pics!
