Gotta get a light on it. Fix your timing...and it would be the incorrect injectors I believe, not plugs. With your timing that far off it would definitely sound like a subie, perhaps even worse. Don't give up on it!

first do you have any cels? and do you know which cylinder is misfiring?

yea i feel ya. im not familar with single cams at all! When I put the one in my ek I was all confused about the 3 wire IACV lol.
