whats up with my headlights?

Well.. I had my hids on today and one of my friends realized that one of my headlights was smoking.. the chrome housing right where the bulb mounts in my oem headlight was melting.. I plan on getting new headlights anyway but will I run into this problem again with smoked housings.. what's going on?

maybe if you dont buy the 100000000000k ones it wont melt lol naw i have no idea maybe someone else can chime on this good luck

Hey hey I have 6000ks lol.. anyone have any input.. because noone likes stock lighting.. and I'm not puttin in stock bulbs

he's now going back to stock head lights which is gonna make his motor faster becasue it will draw less power to the hid's now to the regular bulbs. More voltage, harder vtech. lol

i had something similar happen on my DA...i bought yellow fog bulbs and they melted the actual lenses..its getting way too hot

what part of the plastic is it melting.. it could be alot of things. is it loose it could be directly touching plastic when your driving.. or are the headlights made out of cheap material
