  • Obd2 swap help!!!????

Heres the deal: I have a 99 ex civic obd2b and i blew the motor. I got a motor out of a 98 ex obd2a. both are d16y8s. I put the new motor in and everything hookup up except the distributor. i switched the distributor from the 99 motor to the 98 that i put in the car. I tried starting it and it turns over just wont start. also im hearing some like popping or clicking sound from the ecu. can any help or know what i need to do to get this to work??? thanks

Yes, you should have used all the Electronic Components, & harness from the 99 OBD2b motor, onto the 98 OBD2a motor, then dropped it in.
