  • d16z6 in a ek

    and it has a trouble code P1337: No signal in the Crankshaft Speed Fluctuation (CKF) sensor circuit. and sensor plug is just dangling there because a d16z6 doesnt run that sensor off the crank so what im wondering is has ne one else encounter this problem and what have they done

    You should have Installed a Y8 Oil Pump, Crank Gear, & Crank Fluctuation Sensor to overcome this problem. You can also jump wires from the Dizzy, to the Crank Sensor to cure this problem.

        can he get a jumper harness and use a p28?? just to make it a lil easier?? just a thought..lol

              you can convert it to obd1 but you wont pass emission waht you need to do is put a d16y8 oil pump on it and run the crank sensor. easy to do buy it all used (well a new oil pump) used sensor and pickup. easy job to do.

                today i jumped the wires codes is off but new codes came up cylinder 3 and 4 misfire and random misfire not sure if this is because of the jumped wires or the fact that both of my o2s are shot

                  Sounds like you tapped into the wrong wires. You basically want to jump off of the TDC input wire off of the Dizzy to the input wire on the CKF sensor Sub-harness. I dont have an ETM in front of me, or else I give the exact pin outs.

                    it sounds like you need some help man lol. you best bet is sell the z6 put a y8 in it and call it a day or put the right oil pump on it and right crank sensor on it. good luck
