not saying they shouldnt be there but have a little respect for the racers and dont intentionally put your self in harms way spectators just pull out in front of racers without paying attention refuse to move when people are about to race i have been afraid to launch quite a few times cause people are hanging out in the road and dont move till your about to hit them thats just insane

Hartford had to die out. there were too many spectators who made it more dangerous than it already was. I used to be out there "trying" to organize things. for the most part I was successful, but when you have a bunch of NOOB's acting as if they know how to organize things, people constantly driving towards the staging area, turning into racing traffic, wilding out doing donut's, destroying private property, littering, not supporting and stealing from the gas station, and driving recklessly from spot to spot. Shutdown was needed, at least for some time. let other areas have a taste of the madness. I used to love participating, but became fearful of someone getting hurt, then reality struck when my boy crashed.

i agree, there are so dumb people out here, i remember one night right behind that lil middle school (cant remember name now) the races where on the 4 way intersection on ledyard street, and some retard (with a civic, who would have guessed) he starts driving it in the grass lot, sliding all around in the grass he takes out two trees and keep ************ing around, then! to top it off some retard in a BMW decides to join him so they are now both sliding around in the grass totally destroyin the yard, it gets better, the guy in the civic hits the BMW and then runs away! LMAO good times...

i know peoples forest in new hartford/barkhampstead has lots and lots and lots of free parking, bbq's pavallions next to teh river kind of out there but def a good meet spot!

Theres a VW meet held there every year....def a good meet spot....but you need to go through the proper procedures if you have more then 300 peoples....but yes....you could have a meet there...
