heres story
put a post up for a ls w papers for sale 400$$
this dude hits me up saying 300$$, i tell him 350$$ we agree for nextday pickup
next day he doesnt call but steve from enfield hit me(jrspsi18lbs or whatever it is
so he says he wants to come look at it w his boy,kool.
but he only has 300$$ i say fuk it lets do it
they both come to my house, take off valve cover spin crank etc
everyone agrees its clean and will work out fine
300$$ for ls motor w new ngk wires plugs alt and a dizzy n manifold sensors etc, complete motor banging deal
so steve(jrspsixxx)and i load it into his boys hatch, they drive away. that was friday


so monday rob(91ef69xx)txts me motors seized, he started it and heard a huge clunk
and it locked up.but i showed him vid of motor running, he told me he took out plugs and everything was dry , changed driver side motor mount post and spun crank before he tried to start it. so how did i have anything to do w this? i didnt help install it.

but im a decent dude so i pick my friend up and we go to this dudes house. my boys ase certified.within 5 mins my boy says its hydrolocked or similiar.WE see the rod is bent like a question mark or an S.i even brought ls rods w me but wasnt gonna help. rob talked w me like a man, wasnt talking shit threatning etc
i told him of a friend who was gonna get rid of a da integra soon. i offered it for whatever i could get it for.no profit.
i txted him monday afternoon, txtd steve cause i thought i had wrong number but no one responded back. then i made a post selling the da w no title. sure you guys saw it monday. thats 3 possible chances to talk w me about this integra. car sold within hrs.
never asked for a dollar back either until yesterday

I don't know none of these dudes but after reading all this shit it honestly sounds like straight up install error. If the motor was checked and everyone agreed it was good to go then it's good to go. Deal done and go your seperate ways. Shit happens and if it was install error just own up to it. People make mistakes all the time with installs not paying attention to detail and just wanna get shit up and running as fast as possible. i don't care about if you've done 100 swaps it takes 1 mistake.
How about pull the motor and take it to a machine shop and they can probably tell you for sure what was happened to that motor.

Canibus if i was you i'd tell the kid to kick rocks but i feel you on trying to be a straight up guy and helping someone out even if they did fuck it up themselves. it's a shitty situation nobody wants to be in.

Should have taken pics on how the motor was installed so someone could tell if it was installed incorrectly. not saying you don't know what you're doing but we all make stupid mistakes. like single slam said could have been your fault. however it sucks you're out of $300 LS parts are a dime a dozen, if you know how to assemble a motor correctly, take the loss get a new rod, new bearings and gaskets ect. assemble the motor then you know longer have to deal with this again. maybe even scope out some ctr pistons and a vtec head and get a little build going on. when i got beat for a $2800 car i just had it turned around and had people drooling over it. either way good luck with the situation.

idk this is tough. i sold a 1.5 single cam to this dude once and it ran perfectly when i ripped it out. just changed the water pump timing belt whole 9. sold it to him for 75. he gets it in the car next day tells me car wont stop over heating and the cylinder was cracked. i truly didnt know this nor do i know if it was his fault.

That was me and no i never said the cylinder was cracked i said the head was cracked. I still have the head. You told me it overheated a few times on you so you put a new waterpump so we wont go there. I put a 2000 head on it and sold the car to typeRKeyz. Shit was just a hassle. Not to mention was a melted thermostat in there as well. Shit happens but it wasnt just 75 bones either. And i didnt call asking for money back. I was just pissed that i had to go through some time to get it right.

On a better note Canibus is a good ass dude. Always has parts for sale and this is THE FIRST thread against him. If JRSC18psi was there and he checked it out right you have your answer right there. He has good vouches and if he said the engine was good its clearly an install issue.
