This is a tricky situation. On one hand you may have gotten ripped off but on the other hand you did take the motor home and did who knows what to it. I sold a eg hatch once, and to the best of my knowledge it was a solid car. The guy heard it run and everything, then after he takes it, I get a call an hour later saying the motor blew in it. How did I know what he may have done to it after he took it off my hands? He wanted his money back, I didn't give it to him.

Coolant in all four Cyl? Did it have cracked sleeves??


Take the intake out and if it's wet with coolant then the install was improper , look for vacuum lines mistakin as coolant lines , if it had coolant to begin with it would of locked up on the first crank ,

i've dealt with cannibus twice, he bought a part from me then i bought a valve cover from him, hes a cool guy met me both times inbetween us and the funny thing is the 2nd time we both forgot about the 1st time and were like "ooo shit i remember you haha" but yeah i don't think he would have sold a blown motor hes not childish like that, but why would you expect your money back hes not a shop and unless he helps you put it in how would he know what you did to it once you had the motor? And anyways your out 300bucks its not like you just blew up a K20 or something

even a blown head gasket wouldnt let enough coolant in the cylinder to hydro-lock it. Unless it had a cracked sleeve, you musta done something.
