He posted up a d16y8 longblock thread for 250 obo..we pm'd eachother for a while and he told me that the motor had no leaks/knocks/problems and that it was a 98 ex with 100k miles..i took the ride from bridgeport with hondaman203 to torrington which was a 30-45 minute ride and stood waiting for him for over 30minutes..he finally gets there and the motor was not even strapped and was mooving all over the place in the back of his friends pick up truck..motor had oil all over the place and oil pan was tapped for turbo which lets me believe that it has been beat on and that it's probably no good/craked timing cover ..then he tells me that its a d16z6 and not a y8..i was like wtf i wanted a y8 ..what a waste of time..i just figuered to share the info b4 any1 else waste their time and gas for nothing.

nah you right efran we have this here to here bad and good about everyone. So pretty much he made you ride out there for nothing and thats for the update because now ill never buy anything from him. But this is just me but no offense to anyone unless i know you know you . I would never buy a motor or tranny or head off someone i dont know but thats just me. And thanks for the input efran

the kid was giving me the longblock for a super cheap price and that was cool but whats the point of buying something that i just dont need...

damn... the funny thing is how that thread didnt have pictures yet either.. it was under the 24hrs and no pics were up. and people bitch at me when there threads get deleted with no pics. well had them been posted in this thread and situation he would see the motors beat and not wasted his time. were going to have to tighten things up with the picture rules.

thats what i might do to make things easier... and to be fair.. members that have over 1000 posts will still have the 24hrs. to post pictures. usualy those active members are good to their word
