  • tranny problems

    i believe my sincro in third gear is shot...i wanted to know if it is an easy fix or am i better off just getting a new tranny...

    when i go to shift into third it will go in fine and i can let the clutch outit would stay in gear but as soon as i give it ne gas it will pop out...

    can ne one tell me what it sounds like and some tips to either fixing it or changing it out

    you need third gear, synchro, and sleeve. those parts alone will cost as much as a used unit. btw honda transmissions don't use gear oil. that is the second most common reason for synchro failure. the most common is lack of oil.

        yup....my brothers fith gear syncros are mess up also...better off getting a new tranny imo...
