  • Car Wont Start

    91 Civic Hatch.

    DPFI Converted to MPFI

Has been running mint. No problems. Then today it wont start however it turn's over. Now when I turn the key 2 clicks and all the cluster lights should come on and fuel pump should prime nothing happens. No power to cluster, nor fuel pump. Nothing. but when I turn the key to start it. it cranks over and starts but turns off right away. It goes to like 1100 rpm n off. I tried holding the gas but it shuts off. The weird part is that when I start it with remote start. It starts, primes fuel pump and runs fine. I reset my battery and the car worked fine but then turned off like a min later. I already tried a new main relay and nothing. I also unplugged the brain to my alarm and it still does the same thing as above. Any Idea's

if it runs good with the remote start, and not with the key. clearly the problem lies somewhere in there. does your alarm cut fuel or ignition or starter signal?

yea. cuts ignition/starter signal. I think it's the ignition switch. Because when I unplug my alarm it still does it. So it's not the alarm causing it.

it's the ignition switch. When I try starting the car. If i hold the key and dont let it come all the way back it's normal. As soon as I let the key go back it turns off. I just gotta get one now. Every AutoZone around here is out. Manchester is the only one. ************kkkkk.
