  • i need help

    So i swapped a running gsr out of my hatch into an eg coupe shell i bought... harness is plugged in grounds are plugged in checked every last fuse i have accessories like blinkers heat wipers all that but the car doesnt crank at all fuel pump doesnt turn on nothing happens when i go to start the car i did swap out the main relay with one i kno that works as well and im at my witts end if ctvtec cant figure it out im just gonna part it out im beyond fed up when it was just running in front of my face before i took the swap out any help advice would be much appreciated 860 455 5622 txt thanx everyone

      I mean it sounds like u got something mixed up and ik u said u changed relay but is ur e u plugged in lol

        If a short caused the first main relay to blow, it would likely just cause the second main relay you installed to blow.

        Look at the main relay, you should be able to see if it is blown or not.

          Wat do u mean starter signal? Ecu is plugged in ive literally looked at everything i cant figure it out

            No idea wat would be shorting out to cause the main relay to blow twice i did t hear anything outta the ordinary just turned the key and accessories come on but when i go to start ot nothing happens the fuel pump doesnt even attempt to turn on or anything

              If the dash lights come on, then the main relay is fine.

              No crank, no fuel pump, likely means an ECU issue.

              Are you using the correct ECU?

                  Like stated above ecu may be the problem or main relay isnt powering it check the wiring on the main relay

                      If by jumping the starter u mean leaving the key on and taking some speaker wire to one end to the battery terminal yes i have n still nothing

                        Ur problem is the ecu isnt getting power thats why the pump isnt priming ground the main relay like i told u

                          Sounds dumb however check the ground wire to the thermo make sure it's in the right spot. There is a dummy hole that doesn't work. I went through an entire car after a swap and that was the issue and I was sure it was the main relay and or the ecu and wasn't with the same symptoms

                            The main relay powers everything on the car.

                            His accessories are working, so the main relay, by default, is working.


                            OP, are you sure you have a good connection on the ECU?

                            What model and year car are you working on? What model ECU? What model year GS-R swap?
