Go to a place who does emissions and have em verify the vin. They check the firewall and door jam. They won't say anything about the dash

Even better. When they did my emissions they just went by the door sticker. Because he didn't pop my hood. And I have my dash one blocked lol.

You must have bought the red em1 shell. I went to pick it up but changed my mind when I saw that. The guy registered the car in ct with temp plates and didnt pass vin verification thats why he took out the swap and sold the shell..... good luck

try calling the dmv and see what they say, i just registered my 96 ek a few weeks ago it had a virginia title. they originally told me i needed to do the vin verification but when i went to the dmv and got the temp plates, i asked about the vin verification she told me i didnt need to do it, all i needed to do was get emissions done and thats it. i was able to register it no problem. i would call the dmv and ask them see what they say

                      *Verification*

You can approach this a few different ways. Easiest would probably be this: Get a metal plate, stamp it with the VIN on the title, rivet it to the dash. Go get a VIN Check, they're 10 bucks. Go to the Hamden DMV, as they are best about less-than-straightforward registrations. If they require inspection, then come back with the car on a trailer and have it inspected. Make sure it complies with the rules on the dmv website, or they WILL fail you. No stupid normal honda shit, make sure the car is tight.

                      Hope this helps.

When you do emissions they do the vin verification at the same time.

the vin verification is an additional charge of 10 bucks i think, i was only charged for the emmisions testing

I believe the $10 few is if you just went to do a vin verification only. And not a emissions test. Otherwise i think it's included in the $20 emissions few. Unless they recently changed it and add $10 to the emissions. Every out of state titled car has to go thru emissions/vin verification in order to get hard plates.
