i have an ls non vtec that doesn't let me rev past 4,000 rpms. i was reading some other forums and it said it might be the distributor .

Here is a good starting point.
Honda CRX / EF Civic (1988 - 1991) - 1991 Civic. b18. wont rev past 3500? - Its Throwing cel code 14. ICV. it idles just fine. but wont rev past 3500. and if i take the ICV of and start it it idles at 3500 like launch control or its hittin rev limit. cleared the ECU sever times. dirty ICV? anyone know whats up?Honda sucks. Over priced junk.

Its a chipped ecu, i swapped it couple weeks ago. Its an OBD2 motor but an OBD1 ecu.
It idles great. and my car is an obd1. 92 hatch
i have not tried a new dizzy
