  • b20 in 95 coupe help

i have a 95 coupe vtec shell with a b20 motor. when i bought the car it already had a ls in it. i figured they changed the wiring harness but they didn't. i recently had to change the alternator found out the alternator is a 95 vtec. the belt i had to get so it just fits bc of the swap, dont know what car it goes to. the car is now not charging. i dont know if it could be the belt or the alternator is too small. please help!!!

Single cam alternators fit with a hit of customization.. it doesnt matter if it is b series or d series.. u mite just need a new alternator..

Just put in a brand new alternator and they tested it before I took it and it was good. Could a belt that's too tight make the alternator not charge

if the belt was loose then yes it would have problems charging. if the belt nice and tight then no.. did you check you battery connection on the alternator? when it gets corrosion then sometimes you will get a bad connection. is the battery indicator on the dash on?
