Rocker arms bad?

Out of the 3 rocker arms on a vtec head one of them can completly remove its self from yhe group wen in reality yu can move all 3 of them as far as possible but they wont come of eachother.. Are the rocker arms hit.. Once you push the piston on the side den u can slide all of them back together...
