  • Possible fried ecu?

So i put a stock b20b in a 97 civic Ex. Im pretty positive i pluged in everything where it needed to go on the engine harness. I'm using the stock PNP(single-cam vtec ecu).Got everything set up, and when i put the key on the "ON" position i heard a fizzle in the ECU and the tachometer got crazy and went to 100 and back to 0. The check engine light flickered and fade, then came on like its normal. I was able to start the car no problem no knocks or anything, but it was idling like a race car, (bwa bwa bwa). We put the car on the ground, and heard a "pop" and then the fuel pump wasnt priming and the check engine light doesnt come on. Does anyone know what this can be? Bad harness? Grounds? Bad ecu? The fuel pump relay is good because we tried it in another car.
Your insights and experience will be so helpful
    Thanks

you probably have a lose ground. and when you put the car on the ground it popped a fuse. Check the ground on your thermostat housing. And check all your fuses again. Including the ecu/FI fuse under the hood fuse box and the fuses under the dash.
