secret sharing time:

set it to tdc, then you can zip tie the belt to the cam gear(s) and move it aside (or suspend it from the hood).

but honestly, setting timing isnt a big deal. nows the time to learn anyway.

srry im new with the hondas...so i gotta set timing at? then disconnect cam gears put gsr in and reconnect cam gears?

okay here you go....

1. Take a 19mm socket and turn the crank pulley till cam gears are on tdc, always check to make sure your crank is at tdc. With the valve cover off.

2. loosen the tensioner, 14mm, loosen it about 3 rotations.

4. take the belt off the cam gears.

5. take off all the cam keepers, the things on top of the cams. replace the cams. torque it down in sequence.

6. when putting the belt on, the cam gears move, so either find a way to hold them still, 12mm bolt on cam gear works well, just do one at a time.

7. put the belt on and tighten the tensioner. crank it 3 times, counter clock wise. check the tension, if its good, put ur valve cover on and fire it up!
