Change ecus. If your doing it for emissions purposes the best thing to do is run a LS Ecu. If not then jump to obd1 get a chipped Ecu and get the car tuned and the tuner will dis able the knock sensor. If its a stock engine then run a base map and dis able the knock sensor. Or you can drill/tap the alternator bracket and mount the sensor there.Money ain't a thing! Crew Member #1

Ps. The ls ecu dont read the knock sensor?Comment
Anyways ill jus put the knock sensor like you said in the alternator bracket or anywhere else where it can feel the vibrations of the engine thats all that sensor is for thanks for the lookout
The info came from the last person i expected on this site thanks ls/vtec good to know theres someone with knowledge on this forum that slowly im loosing interest forComment
if it's for emissions then run a ls ecu. It wont hurt to mount the knck sensor. But it'll be easier to just plug in a ls ecu, drive for a hour and then run thru emissions. LS ecu doesnt look for knock sensor. Thats what I always do for emissions. But i'd just run a LS ecu It's the easiest/quickest way to pass and get it over with.Money ain't a thing! Crew Member #1
