in my opinion the b16b because the tranny is LSD and the head is alot better if u want more torque you can swap the block later

Both swaps come with a lsd tranny...leaning toward the b16b only 100 bucks more from jdmenginedepot

If you plan on leaving the swap stock then get the type r. Its basically a maxed out all motor b16 and they scream. If you plan on making more power down the road I'd go with a Gsr. Unlimited potential in my opinion. With a gsr you can go all motor and make more hp than a type r with just a couple mods or go boost and make more power than a b16 could ever handle. There's dudes that make over 200 whp with just a skinnier head gasket, intake Manny, and full exhaust. Gl hitting 200whp in a 1.6 without some serious money and drivability issues

just buy a gsr, b16 is for sissymen and type r is way to over priced.

b16b is a different monster its basically a typeR wit smaller stroke same deck height as a 1.8 typeR swap out internals later and u have 1.8 typeR wit a b16 stamp .....completly different block from b16a

Always have been a gsr fan. Get the gsr and toss a turbo kit on it

for the extra 1000 i rather have the gsr and buy bolt ons or have it tuned.

or just buy a turbo kit for 1000k and save my money install the kit and have it tuned for 300whp
