watsup ctv i just did an ls swap in my eg and im beginning to think that i dont have an ls tranny..ill admit that im a noob too the b series game but i notice that on the highway it revs higher than expected.i get 4500 rpms at 80 mph in 5th and the lower gears seem allot shorter than i thought they should be.a buddy of min suggested i might have a b16 or gsr tranny..problem is i cant find any stamp or anything to find out exactly what trranny i have..again im new to b series so if anybody can give me some insight that would be great thanks.

The problem is gsr internal and b16 internals can be put into a ls case so even if you have a ls case that doesn't solidify what you have. If you were lucky enough to get a b16 or gsr for the price of an ls then I would not complain. Your best bet if you really need a longer gear for highway cruising would be talk to niceguy and have a ls 5th gear put it. It wont give you the full potential of an ls tranny but itll be better than what you have now.Honda sucks. Over priced junk.

That sounds about right for a b16 tranny. I know in my Gsr I was at 4k rpm at 80 mph
