  • bogging when accelerating

i pulled the swap out of my old ej1 (eg coupe) and put it in my ej8 (ek coupe) i noticed when i acclerate alot it bogs alot especially on the highway like a bad misfire. when it was in the eg it never had a problem tho really trying to find out wut the issue is i kno i hav the wrong plug wires cuz they wont click in properly but that never caused an issue before but imma change them anyways to be on the safe side....im using the same ecu i had in the eg on the ek so ofcourse im using a stepdown harness...i changed my engine harness also im using a stock ek ex obd2b harness with a few connections spliced also spliced the distributor wires since the plug was different

things i think that could cause my problem is the spark plugs and wires, the distributor, the stepdown harness, or a missing sensor

Are you running a different exhaust? Maybe a clogged cat if you Dont have highway power

maybe a clogged fuel filter. Assuming everything else is good and hooked up right.
