i got a 98 gsr with 132k last jan. did the same thing when i got it i got it, i got it to stop doing it buy adding engine restore to it every oil change its a big difference now my bumper used to turn black not anymore and im not using as much oil and after a couple of uses my compression went up on all cylinders...... but to answer your question its either your rings or your valve seals your gonna have to rebuild to get a permanent fix

For those that dont know, GSR's are notorious for cylinder bore tapering. Basically after a certain amount of mileage/runtime, the cylinders actually get slightly cone shaped/tapered. Thats why you see people that have there GSR re-built, they are usually running 81.5mm bores & pistons due to having to bore out the cylinders straight again. Honda's are known for burning oil at high R's. It's hard to properly clean off the cylinder bores of oil, in a VTEC engine, when the piston speed is 2-3 times faster than your normal engine. Ring Seal has always been an issue of Honda's.
