Have similar issue would like to know the answer...Im going in 1st and its at about 2k Ron amd I just put my foot down on pedal it will bog threw 2k 3k then just pick up like if it didn't do it....and sounds like something is holding it back

im going to assume that everyone with a similar issue has newer cap/rotor/plugs/wires. If not, your just wasting time diagnosing shit.

yea id say cap and rotor if not a bad dizzy or may need a new fuel filter

also when my ls was stock i found out after trial and error my car got the most gas mileage with 89 anything less or more it would kill it faster just normal driving

I can deal with the mpg I'm getting. I just don't like te fact it's running weird.

Idk. 200 miles to a 14 gallon tank is 14 mpg. If I wanted that I'd buy something useful like a truck or a 91 Cadillac...not a 5 speed 4cyl econobox lol.

My guess is internal. Think about my jeep. The only difference was sometimes the code was picked up.

I had an ls back in the day getting terrible milesge from a bad map.

But check compression before anything else.

Had this same issue with the Em1, after the tune out was cleared up but a bad ecu had something to do with it also...check yours out

i've swapped ecu's. The motor is stock. Stock header, stock intake, stock everything. It shouldn't need a tune lol
