Axle nut removal help?

The safety indentation is simply a notch in the axle nut that prevents it from backing out. You'll see it when u pop the cover. Just take a hammer and flat head and knock it back out.

Steakhouse was a joke and I don't mean loose I mean leaving them loose enuff the get off with only alittle force needed from a hand wrench. Is that ok?

No, because to loosen them means to remove the safety indentation which means the nut will be likely to back off and spin loose. Don't mess with it until its in your driveway and your ready to do the entire job.

But what if its loosened a little then u put the safety thing back on? Or will it not go back on it it's loose?

1.raise car with jack
2.place at least one jackstand underneath car
3.remove wheel
4.remove axle nut cover
5.place a flathead screwdriver on rotor ridges to keep it from moving
6.remove indentation on nut
7.32mm socket on 1/2" ratchet and a long pipe
8.you can just carefully place the jack under the ratchet and slowly raise the jack and it will come out...
