Ok so as i leave work today in this blizzard, all at once my vtec stops working, my mph stop working, my check engine light comes on and heres the weird one.... when i floor it while in gear it revs up and starts to do launch control -___- or when rolling, i floor it in neutral and same thing it does launch control. Wtf could this be im getting so sick of this car im about to sell it :(

Speed sensor will set cel light n also stop ur mph gauge from working wich will also stop the vtec from activating...as far as the launch control do u mean like 2step?

Speed Sensor.

Bas VSS will throw a CEL.

With no Speed signal to the ecu it will not activate vtec.

With no Speed signal to the ecu it will not disengage launch control because it thinks the car is at a dead stop. So it's activating launch control.

worddd, thanks guys. I would jump the connector but everytime i shut the car off it clears the code then randomly comes on but ill try that first. sounds like thats all it is i hope.
