99 B18c1 swap (NEED HELP)

Okay CTv,

I am having a major issue with a project car I am doing.
Hopefully you guys can give me some light on this with your experience.

Make: Honda
Civic
CX

Motor: 99 GSR
Engine Harness: 99-00 SI
ECU: P72 99 GSR
Using a Jumper Harness

My issue is that the DLC isn't connecting to the Obd2 scanner to see why my check engine light is on.

I'm not sure if there is something else that I need to change or one of the PINOUTS on the ECU need to be switched.

If someone can shed some light on this issue or know of a website that can help.

Any one do this swap and have the same Issue?

Make sure you don't have a fuse that blew.

Yeah I went threw every fuse under the hood and dash, everything was good. That's why I am at a loss with what the issue you could be.

Is the ecu jdm? I don't know the codes

are you postive your ecu is usdm? a jdm ecu will cause the problem.

I took the ECU from a crashed 99 GSR that was owned by an older couple.
Its P72-A04, when I looked it up it said USDM

And yeah I bought the Obd2a to a obd2b jumper which is what i was told i needed.

I'm new into this honda game and this is my first swap, So i am pretty damn lost lol..

why waste time with jumper harness ? if the car is a 96 run a 96-98 ex harness and run a 96-98 gsr or ITR ecu

And I already have the jumper harness and all that other stuff..

Relatively how easy is it to come across that set up a price range usually?
