ok recently i changed my distributor and bought a new 1 online from the distributor king.....now when i installed it i think screwed my timing and the car wont start....does ne1 no exactly where the rotor in the distributor is supposed to be set? i heard at 12 o`clock on piston number 1 wich is where i have it now but it worn work

the distributor only goes in one way...if you can get all 3 bolts in then you have the distributor in right and your firing orders off...if you cant get all 3 bolts in then your distributor is 180 off meaning you have to spin the key 180 degrees around...if your cars at tdc and the distributor is in the correct way pull the cap off and see where the rotor is pointing. where its pointing is where the #1 wire goes on the cap then just complete the firing order clockwiseRIP Nick HainesNHSwaps132036/26/84 - 5/1/10
