B20 have weak sleeves thats whay everyone says there bad. Do a compression and leakdown test on your ls motor, if its good id say turbo that motor.

But if you wanna make power sleeve the b20. If you sleeve it you might aswell buy low compression pistions, rods, head studs and a thicker head gasket. There good for around 500chp with those components. And they have crazy torque when there boosted and TUNED PROPERLY.

Id also suggest going B20Vtec since the b20 heads dont have fantastic flow charicteristics.

well alot of ppl always say to go b20 vtec because its the best bang for your buck..if you have the money to do it then do it..if not then keep the ls and buid it and slap a vtec head on it and boost the sh!t out of it..i am doing a ls vtec and i kno dat b20 vtec would have been stronger but hey i saved a few bucks by keepin my ls..so its your choice...just go 4 it

You shouldnt base your power goals on PSI. What makes and breaks motors is horsepower, but if you have a good conservitive tune with numbers around 250chp youd be fine on a stock motor.

You only need to build it up if you plan on making some numbers past 300+ hp. Thats when you typically max out your head bolts, rod bolts, head gasket and eventually sleeves and pistions.

Stock pistion ringlands are also very weak on these motors.. They dont hold well to much detonation, same goes for the sleeves.

Im in no way trying to steer you away from this setup, just pointing out some weak points for you and others to know. Incase you or some one who reads this thread does build a built B20T, then theyd have adequte info on how to do so.
