got a stock ls that overheats changed the thermostat and head gasket and it still does it theres no nothing mixing in oil or nothing leaking but a small hose that got fixed and it still overheats what do u think it could be????????

i doubt its the fan.i have used a ebay slim fan on turbo cars without a problem.is it really over heating or the cluster says its over heating but its actually not? could be a faulty tach if thats the case.make sure that u have both dowel pins on the head.my car was missing 1 dowel pin and when the head was torqued down it moved the gasket causing it do overheat and dump out coolant out the header.to bleed the car raise up the front of the car and keep adding coolant until u see no more bubbles in the coolant and turn the heat all the way on.make sure your coolant cap and waterpump are goodOriginally posted by knuckk@jdmdikk only dude i would take advice from.

If ur fan is in the engine bay side make sure its pullin the air by putting a piece of paper to it to make sure....if its setup to push itll go against air comin thru the radiator n mske ur shit overheat. Trust happened to me n all I had to do was switch the fan to pull air instead of pushing
