i just bought an 01 integra ls, bought it without a key, but i took the ignition apart to be able to crank to turn over, it turns over and sounds like it has no compression. i took the timing belt cover off to check the timing which was way off, water pump looked to be leaking but wasnt locked up, but then noticed the splines on the crank pulley (harmonic balancer) were all stripped down and there was no woodruff key. so im thinking about getting a new crank pulley and key. putting it back together and hope for the best. anyone have this happen or have any input or help or ideas why this happend in the first place.

It could be the fact the 2001 has a chip in the key that signals the computer to start since u don't have the key with the chip it's not gonna crank over

01 integras have an immobilzer. it will just sit there and crank but ever start. You can remove the immobilizer but it will have a CEL unless you get a blank chip.Comment
