A buddy of mine told me that when changing a timing belt, if I put it in Top Dead Center I don't have to worry about the cams moving on me.. I just want to make sure this is true before I do it ya kno. Looking for any responses, and thanks for looking everyone !!

Yes and no that should work as long as u set it before u take the old belt off thats what i always do. set timing with the old belt on then just pop the old one off and throw the new one on, ive heard sometimes the cams move but ive never personally had an issue with doing it this way just double check the marks.Last edited by 94-civic-coupe; 10-11-2012, 08:56 PM.
