  • LF info on a gsr head

    ok so i got play on this head idk if i could even save the head i know exhaust cam is no good is scar the fuk out teckin aluminum of the head scars on the head are no bad yea i think shavin then donw would hlp. idk tho info would hlp

    but could the part of the head were scars are at get shave donw to use a new cam and work?


    any info would hlp i dont whant to waste money on the machin shop just to know tha head no good lol

    btw thas the only problem on the head thas y im askin for info if i could save it thx ctvtec

    I'm pretty sure that head is junk

    I'm not sure but try calling a machine shop and see if they can (line hone) the head...

        all it is, is a cam cap to hold the cam in place its not like actaully fucked up where the cam goes over the rockers so as long as you tighten the rest to spec the cam will still be held in place and be good

          head maby can be save but cam is bad the line are big

            yea but like im saying if the car ran fine before then it will still run like
            that all it is, is someone over tightened that one cam cap so it caused the grooves

            but theres still 4 more plus the tray that goes across, so if you tighten them all to spec it will be fine and held in place, seeing its only where its held in place not actually scored where the lobes are which control when the valves open

              dam i wish my camara could teck better pics we on same page about the cam holdin on place but if they hun the grooves out wuld the oil flow harder tru and cam seal would leak oil?

              thas y im askin machin shop chargin me $100 to go tru it ima do it but maby some 1 wen tru this before and i dont need to wasted more money lil more info would hlp thx for ur info

                  well the cam seal goes at the end so as long as its torqued down correct it wont leak out the cam seal if anything since theres grooves more oil will be around that part of the cam which isnt bad at all
