Emissions help!

I have a jdm b series motor in my 96 ek. What ecu would I need to run or what's the easiest way I can pass emissions? I was told to run a ls ecu but idk how true that is?

if you have a non vtec engine you would have to run an obd2a ls ecu, if you have a vtec engine then either an obd2a gsr, obd2a del sol b16 ecu, or an obd2a ls ecu. You have to make sure you have a cat, both o2 sensors, & if running a vtec ecu you'll need knock sensor to be wired as well... if you need any help with wiring lmk

Its a obd2 .. I tried the gsr and cel was on. Also I still have a cat with the o2sensor. Thanks for info have to find and ls or the b16 to try it out nd see

x2 obd2 takes 2 o2 sensor's so if you only have 1 that could be an issue or it might be the crank sensor..

Like 4 or 5 codes came up it I know one was o2 sensor but its pluged in so I don't know why it came up and I forgot the rest

that wouldnt matter if your getting cel with both vtec n non ecu's its obviously something else,so plug either obd2 ecu and read the codes n go from there other then that your shooting in the dark..

do u have 2 o2 sensors?both iat sensors plugged in if u have both?it can be a list of things so get the codes down n start eliminating 1 by 1..

ok well try it and find out,remember as long as u have a cat an no cel they only plug the reader in the obd port not put in on the rollers like obd1's so u should be good...
