It's the factory oil pressure sensor. When people do ls/vtec or b20/vtec or boost they take a cheap way out like the pic above and run a T fitting to run the oil feed line to the head or turbo. The best way to do it is a sandwich plate.
its the oil pressure sensor and normally its in the block where the blue fitting is but you have a T fitting there for either a vtec head or oil feed line for a turbo
dont worry its all setup right and nothing to worry about
I'd leave it alone. If its not broken font fix it, I've seen plenty of cars run fine like this...if I was going to do it myself I would use the sandwich plate though

or fix it before it breaks! I've seen plenty of cars run like this fine. However i blew a motor from using one of the cheap kits. The oil line snapped off the head while driving. I've also seen people snap the T fittings off in the block while changing the oil filter of from vibration.
i had one like that on my old da9 boosted for many years never broke or anything i use to comute about 55 miles round trip from and to work with no other driving around
at the end of the day if he wants to change it no one has a say so. I was always recommended to use a sandwich plate for either allmotor or boost, but w.e to eachs own
aaaahhh.... fml... shitty news... great :/. I thought it was okay but now that I read all this I kinda regret it now. Now I'm hoping it wasn't some beat up turbo'd engine like one of the one's I got screwed over with long ago. Everyone out here in IN and KY are out to screw each other over by the look of it :/
