iight first off.. there is a difference between 96-98 and 99-00.. you def gotta be more specific... if you gonna do a stock b20vtec bonestock.. stay with some stock cams.. a stock b20 bottom end aint gonna hold up to redlining at 9000 rpms.. the mounts would work fine.. gotta get the back t bracket for a 2000 civic si.. and get a jumper harness from obd2 to obd1 and than youll be able to get a tune... wiring harness works if its a ex or vtec wiring harness.. if not your gonna have a hell of a time getting it to run right..

99-00 b20z has a knock sensor port on the block. I'd go with this block and a 98 gsr head. Then for emissions you can slap on a obd2a p72 and pass.

and another thing.. if your not really mechanically inclined you might as well just get a gsr and throw it in.. not everybody can do a frankenstein motor the right way and have it last.. if you want details... ill give you details.. for a b20 vtec or lsvtec to run good with out risking the chance of breaking it.. you will need arp rod bolts if you wanna redline it past 8000 rpms but when doing so.. you cant just open the oil pan and slap in the rodbolts... you gotta take out the rods bring them to the maching shop with the crank and have them hone out the rods cus the extra torque when tightening the rod bolts down actually turns the rod and rod cap into an oval and your gonna end up with a spun bearing... and your gonna need to change the oil pump for vtec to pop the right way.. to change the oil pump.. you gotta drop the oil pan and all this other work.. kinda dificult for a noob.. all this is well worth it and it will last and you dont have to have no worries.. and anybody that says you dont need to do all that work is full of shit.. but if your serious about going with the b20vtec lemme know throw me a few bucks and ill do everything the right way.. besides the haters i am definately a reputable engine builder.. i was the only car at the track rental last year that didnt break down.. lol

trust dude.. its a bigger project than you think.. ya its a beasty setup but you cant just slap a vtec head on it and everything would be fine.. noooooooooopppeee...
