B18B1 '00 EK Swap Issues

Alright so I finally got the B18B1 in. The guy that sold me it lied saying it was an entire OBD2 engine but the bottom end is OBD2 while the head is OBD1. I was using an OBD1 dizzy as well as an OBD2 stock engine harness from my '00 hatch and using an OBD2 Hondata S200. When I turn the key and try to start the car it sounds like it wants to turn on but not really. My friend said it wasn't getting any spark through the spark plugs and another suggested to try resetting the cam angel tomorrow. Does anybody know by chance what it could be? I mean I figure what they told me sounds about right but I'm new to this stuff and it's my first swap so I wanted to ask here where a lot of people know more.

96-98 civic is obd2a 99-00 are obd2b dizzy n plug chngs try a diff dzizzy
injctrs n IM chng...i hv n obd2a ls dizzy but if u dont wan
to cut n match hrnss plug to dizzy gt a 99-00 dizzy

Yea one of my friends told me to try another. He also suggested to try my D series even though 1 bolt wont match, it should plug in just fine since it was originally hooked up to the stock OBD2 harness. Yea, tomorrow I'ma try the dizzy and if not then go buy one :(. I'd get that one off you but I'm in KY atm.

Check the timing....it could b that if I'm not mistaking that's Wat it sounds like to me....

Yea it does sound better. I thought of that earlier so I went on ZeroLift since it's 3hrs away to check out some engines and what not. Man I'm pissed though. I shouldn't have bought the engine off this dude. When I bought it I heard from a good friend of his that left his crew because of the grimmy deals he did that, that engine was his abused turbo engine and also that it was grinding 2-3rd gear. I should drop it off on his hood or something lol. I feel like being that dick and returning the favor since he wont give me my money back.

Shit I'm ready to get rid of my car but it's too bad I'm far from CT or else it would have been gone. It's a clean ass 2000 hatch but there's not so many people around here that would take care of it hahaha. I'd feel bad giving it to someone so they can do their "race inspired cosmetic enhancements" hahaha.
