3in is loud but the best bang for the buck if you are gonna put power under your hood later. the exaust size does not make ur car loud. U can put a 6in school bus exaust on ur car and it all matters on wat you run for a muffler and cat. Id go withh 3in and def put a cat on it. backpressure is not a myth

3 in is loud depending on what u got for a muffler. ive heard some loud a$$ 3in exaust and ive heard some that are less noise then a 2 1/2 it all depends on your mufflers. it might make a slight difference but pick and choose your exaust. 3 in is deff the way to go for a couple buck more. dont know where ur from but KARNs automotive in groton makes some really nice exausts for a good price
