  • Need help ASAP

I bought an engine that was supposedly OBD2 and it's pretty much an OBD2 tran, OBD2 bottom end, then the head is OBD1.. bare with me I'm a noob to this and it's my first swap. I wanted to know if I could use this cable to be able to use my OBD2 engine harness from my hatch to connect to the fuel injectors that are OBD1. I'd check the fuel injector plugs if I could right now but I'm fucking pissed off at the bs that's happened so far and it's it's 20 miles at my buddies garage so I wanted to ask here. By what I've been seeing they look like they would fit but I wanted someones input about it that knows about this stuff better than myself.

If anyone knows it'd be greatly appreciated.

im kind of confused to what you need to do but i had the same problem with my hatch which is obd1 and i bought an obd2 motor. i needed to swap out the injectors dizzy and alt and use obd1. so im assuming you bought an obd1 motor and you need to make it obd2 for your ek. you do the same process get obd2 dizzy, alternator, and injectors and your obd2 harness.

I have all those in OBD2 except the injectors.. so I guess I gotta do that. You think I can shortcut it and use my D16's OBD2 fuel rail and injectors on the OBD1 B18? Sorry I'm just trying to get this thing done asap since it's my only car so I'm trying to avoid having to order things online if I can work with what I have.

you can use obd2 d16 injectors yea, you dont need to change the fuel rail just have obd2 injectors with an obd2 harness

Yea I figured it wouldn't run properly but right now I'm just trying to get it to roll without having to wait on orders from sites and shit. I'll get the injectors after it's rolling on the road so I can have something to commune to work with. This swap has taken already a week so I'm dying to have it going before work kicks in, in a week. I just hate having to rely on others for transportation lol.

I did notice tho that my D16Y7's injectors are a bit bigger. I'ma see how it fits tomorrow though. But yea it's from the D16Y7 to the B18B1 which on the B18B1 they're a bit smaller so I'm just hoping somehow I can get them to fit hahaha. I should have tried to put them in today to have a little more to off of. Some dude told me to just cut the OBD2 clip to fit it in but I hate having to half-ass shit like that or ruin a harness to make it fit so that's the reason I was looking at those jumper cables for the injectors since they looked like they'd fit on the B18B1's injector plugs and allow me to plug in the D16Y7's OBD2 harness into it and make them work.

dont fuck with injector jumper harnesses. im running d16z6 injectors in my b20vtec and it runs fine for now and put down a good amount of power. i do need to get bigger injectors for more power but yours will run just fine.

Gotcha lol.. shit good save on the harness though ls94civic, I was about to get the PJDM ones, glad I asked here first. I'll try the injectors and if it doesn't work then I'll just get the harness.
