timing belt slap ?

yea like the title says my timing belt is slapin the covers making a loud ticking noise. is that normal for a car w/ 71k. the car isn't misfiring or anything, i did replace the cam gears, but did i not tighten the tensioner completely?

Well either it's not tight enough or the tensioner is bad.

You need to retension the belt. you are going to need a belt soon anyways. its just about that time.
