  • B16 Swap with 00 LS Tranny Help

Hey everyone, got a B16 with an LS Tranny (Bought it that way). I just got the car running and on the road last night and am having issues with the tranny.

The car runs great but it is hard to shift, wines in gear only and sometimes going in reverse it won't come out of gear. I am thinking a new master and clutch may do the trick. What do you think?

I don't think is ur master cylinder buddy but give it a try!! I had the same problem in my ek and it was the tranny but good luck with that!!

That was my thought too, want to replace both either way. There cheap too. Did you end up getting a new tranny or getting urs fixed?

Winding noise is usually a bearing in the tranny, but don't bother rebuilding a ls.for the same price u can find a b16 or Gsr tranny that'll actually help that engine..

Make sure you have fluid in the tranny

That was my first thought. I have some Crap Napa 5w30 (what I had lying around the shop). Going to get some mtl and do both the master and slave see what happens. Either way I am going to upgrade to a b16 tranny

Honestly no idea. I have driven my friends 00 SI but his is real high. I also drive a 96 Rav4 (no mine), compared to them both its fair. It seems like it may be a little high but thats it. Doesn't stick or feel bad.
