Ok so I'm doing a head replacement on my ls but engine is in the car trying to set it to TDC but I can't see the pointer on the lower cover. Any one no a better way to check for TDC. I tryed lineing up the cams but look like one jumped a tooth so no luck. Or a way I can see the pointer

the up marks must be up and each cam has a little tiny line u need to have those line up and take the cover off at the bottom of tha crankshaft pulley u can see the marking on the block and good luck its a pain in the ass

to tell u the truth on a bseries when u look at the cams sprocket one looks slightly off about a tooth....even though it looks so it really isnt.....i assume the cam that looks funny to u is the exhaust cam....thats the one thats supposed to sit that way before u put the belt and tighten tensioner.....its hard to really explain but u really should get someone who knows wut they doin to actually show u...that way u wont break anything and you will learn how its done....
