  • need help asap

    alright so i have a b18b1 in my ej2 and when i first put my swap in last year it revved to 7200
    but now it only revs to 5500 once in a blue moon it will rev to 6500

    ive tried looking online but some people say maybe fuel filter,tps,map, or speed sensor

    i know someone ran into this problem and hopefully someone can help me out


    oh and its a stock motor with stock header, stock cat and stock integra pipping to a vibrant muffler on stock ls computer

      did you try to change you ecu cause one time my car only rev 3000 rpm i change the ecu an it was perfect after that
      my ecu was bad....

        havent tried the ecu but ill try my stock single cam one but it just bounces at 5500 like a redline

          because thats what limp mode is.

          If its floating, than its mechanical. Like cam timing or injectors or something.

          If its cutting, then its probably the cam angle or pick up in the dizzy

          make sure ur rotor is tight in ur dizzy

            i just took my dizzy apart to swap the rotor and cap into another one and the other dizzy didnt start so i put mine back together and it still runs just cuts at 5500

                    Change ur ecu man. More than likely that's ur problem. Any CEl? it's not on limp mode becus limp mode cuts at 3rpm I believe.

                      if it was the dizzy i wouldnt be getting perfect spark from each cylinder and my car wouldnt run mint besides the early redline

                          id swap another dizzy. Just take one from a running car for a few and try it out

                              im gonna try my single cam one but it weird cause last night i raced my boy messing around and it revved to 5500 i told himn that and shit then headed home and the whole way home it revved to 6500 now todays its back at 5500

                              also some details... i only run 89 in my car and only from sunoco next to my house....but im thinking my fuel filter cause ive ran it below e a couple time so im going to replace it in the am and go from there
