Ctr pistons or type r pistons

Aifht im building a lsv an i keep seeing some talk about valve clearnce to the pistons

Remember is a ls crank...

Whiich would give me more clearence ctr or type r an im using buddy club spec 3 cams

either or... as long as its on timing... all pistons have indents for the valves.. i would go with ctr.. itr are coo but youll make more power wit the ctr's..

Do type r sounds good I had both pistons before and love type r with same cams wich I still use lol

ii got 82 mm ctr pistons for sale 150... if you gonna build new pistons you might as well send the block to the machine shop... fresh hone, new bearings... its cheaper if you assemble the block, not the machine shop.. and tune it right away... break it in the right way... soo you dont gotta repeat the process...

Dont matter what piston you use, they got to clay the motor and check valve clearance etc.. ctr pistons will make more power!! the compression will be almost 13.1 (thats race gas time) if you doing ls-vtec. itr piston will be alil less with compression..

Use b16 pr3 pistons... The fact is that compression does not make horsepower the amount of air you can run threw your motor does! So you have buddy club 3's there a ok cam but will be to small with a compression that high you will be holding your motor back so I say get bigger cams if your stuck on running ctr or type r or just run pr3s that will net you close to 11:5:1 and are way lighter then ctr's and give you better fuel atomization because they don't have such a huge peak and are better matched to your cams.... Or you can do like most throw a bunch of parts together and hope for the best... GL either way

buddy club 3's make great power dont let anyone tell you different unless they did it themselves. I made 228whp on 3's....
