  • Idle problem?? Help

Hey guys thanks for looking in advanced! I just did a ls swap to my 92 civic and when I turn the car on the check engine light is on and it starts to idle when it warms up! Now I put a computer from my buddies type r in it and it stopped the idling, my computer is a p28! Problem there!? And also check engine never went away so I don't think the idling is the cause, could it just be a sensor or something? Thanks again for looking

p28 should be tuned for your setup
type r ecu looking for knock, vtec etc so engine light will stay on w this.
check sensors on intake mani quik, check iac.

you should be running a p75. But if you have a CEL. Jump it and see what it's for. That will answer your question.

the CEL light on the p28 is because it is looking for vtec and on ls guess what no vtec lol i do agree with ls/v you should be running a p75 as far as the idling issue take off the ivac which is located on on the back of the intake manifold being held on by 2- 12mm bolts and 2 coolant lines remove them then take some parts cleaner and spray into both meshed holes let dry and reassemble start the car and try it again if problem continues, while the car is running take off your intake (if attached) and located in the throttle body are 2 small holes run you finger over each hole slowly if idle stops then change you throttle body and you'll be in business!!
