Cleaning your Engine

Whats the best way to clean your engine with ? i heard brake cleaner is good but is there any pros or cons on using this stuff ? and what should i try to avoid like sparkplug wires , etc . . . Any other kind of substance or chemicals that good with cleaning the motors ? Just had a little oil leak from the dizzy o ring . .

yea what he said. Enqine deqreaser or Buy purple power but dont spray it on the altinator. thats the only thinq that you cant spray it on

like he said purple power. brake cleaner would work but itll take u ages. scrub with a tooth brush or something power wash it, avoid the alternator and fuse box thats about it..

heres your best bet and it got mine spotless

Buy a bottle of purple power degreaser
buy a bottle of LA's totally awesome cleaner from like a Family dollar store.
Ge a third empty bottle and do a 50/50 mix.

a few days prior to cleaning spray your engine once a day after your done driving and the motor is hot spray it up with the 50/50 mix all over bay tranny and all.

I brought my car to the car wash and used the pressure washer setting(or a pressure washer.) I cover some things with plastic bags like...

Battery,fusebox,harness clips,filter,alternator,dizzy.
It worked wonderful and shit pretty much fell off. My whole block and tranny are spotless. I wouldnt spray anywhere near the dizzy or where it meets the head. Some washers have some serious pressure,

Avoid the dizzy to I used purple power on myn one time cleaned itmgood but didn't cover my dizzy good enuff it melted my rotor lol

i took my motor out cleaned it and cleaned the bay...
