stock bore on a LS is 81mm. So when you have a 82mm bore, youre only option is an aftermarket piston.

So you wouldnt use an 82mm piston from another motor. You would buy a set of weisco or CP pistons, for a 82mm bore B series.

There are WAY more than the 2 companies i listed, so shop around. The newer forged pistons are all similar in quality to a point. For a normal street application, any major company will do.

no problem. Its super easy to build a honda. Just pay someone else to do it. Jk.

Before you make a purchase, make sure your block is in good shape. If there is any scoring or defects in the walls, you should have it checked. Piston to wall clearance is vital to engine life. Most forged pistons require a similar clearence, so if the block was bored correctly and isnt severely worn, it should be fine. Spending a lil extra money now to have a machine shop check the bore and possibly other parts will save you time and money later.

Your going to save money if you buy a piston rod/combo. Eagle rods will do just fine. Find a LS crank that hasnt been tampered with or had a spun bearing and ur good. Just figure out what size bearings you will need (machine shop) and buy the piston rings that are recommended for the pistons you buy and your almost there.

or just start with a b20 block.

What would be the difference between boring to 2.0 or just getting a b20?

nothing, but the b20 was designed to be a 2.0, and i would assume that the sleeves in the b20 are atleast designed different.

What are ur goals for the motor? Thats the only question that needs an answer.
