  • LS vtec wont rev over 3500

I just turned my 1997 LS into a LS vtec. the car is OBD2 and ran prefect before putting on the B16 head. Now when I start the car it wont rev over 3500rpm. I put in a OBD2 p72 ecu. I dont understand why it wont rev, when it was just LS everything worked perfect. I changed the MAP sensor thinking it would fix the problem and have good fuel pressure. If you had ran into this problem before and could help. thanks

what are you running for fuel management? Are you using a chipped ECU? What type? Did you use the right fuel pump? VTEC Spark plugs and wires?

You prolly have ur TPS and MAP Sensors Plugged in backwards. Try switching the 2! Lemme know.

I checked the MAP sensor and the TPS and they're in the right spot. The wires for the tps arent long enough to go on the MAP sensor.
