Thats correct ^^ or change you fpr or buy a ajustable one and bump down the fuel pressure..

I had this same problem. I swapped my ecu, fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator, engine harness, distributor. And then my injectors. After I swapped my injectors it went normal.

fpr controls fuel pressure. my guess would be ecu unless the fuel pump is a walbro or something like that

it runs rich when the o2s arent plugged in.. like real rich because the ecu sees no readings

                Blueish smoke = burning oil
                Black smoke = running rich

At least that's what I've read on EVERY forum I've searched

I swapped ecu's and no longer smell the unburnt fuel...

Although it still blows a bit of black smoke at high rpms ONLY

to my knowledge the ECU can't dictate the fuel pressure, since that's a mechanical component. it modifies signal based off vacuum/load. the ecu shouldn't have much to do with it.

do you have an adjustable FPR? fuel pressure gauge? make sure the timing isn't retarded on the distributor, cams are both in time, and that the plugs are the right ones and not fouled.
