  • b20 !?

Okay My buddy is trying to convince me that the b20 is a good block if just built, he says turbo makes it break, well the sleeves.... Is this entirely correct? I was thinking of doing a b20 build

    ThanksForLooking

If a motor is "built" it should have been sleeved by a machine shop to prevent this.

It's a 98 whp low comp jdm b20, stock sleeves. Sure with a larger turbo I would make more.

                    Wait...what b20 comes with 98 whp?!?! 96-98 b20b stock stats reads 133 hp & 144 ft-lbs tq with 8.8.1 compression ratio

The b20z/99-01 jdm b20bs have thicker cylinder walls stock. Thats why those come with 147 hp & 133 ft-lbs of tq with 9.6.1 compression ratio

110torq, 98 at the front wheels horsepower with an Ls transmission. There is a 15- 20 percent drive train loss.
